Live Music: Uncanny Erie presents The Love-In // Thank You Partner // The Softeners

The Love-In is a Nashville-based indie band consisting of Laurel Sorenson, Theo King, and Michael Rasile. The band’s genre-bending arrangements present Sorenson’s incisive lyrical observations and powerful vocals with a chest-out vulnerability towards relationships, racial identity, sex, and culture. The Love-In’s live show is rollicking and raw, tender and touching, and certainly not one to miss. 

Thank You, Partner plays dreamy folk rock with a crunch. A Raleigh based trio fronted by Sarah Uzzell on guitar and vocals, Thank You, Partner is grounded in Uzzell’s songwriting which draws pictures of tiny feelings in punchy melodies. The band was formed as a duo in 2018 with drummer, Cawood Simpson and Sarah Uzzell. The band has been officially making noise since 2023 shortly after bassist Nolan Bishal joined the group. 

Formerly known as “Secretary Pool”, the triangle based four piece rock outfit have been making and performing music together since 2017. Pulling from influences such as Guided by Voices, Nirvana, Gang of Four, Pixies, and Brainiac, The Softeners will deliver a loud and visceral live show for your entertainment pleasure.
