Clinton Robert Yeager, born January 22, 1970, was a talented Los Angeles guitarist, graphic designer and bartender. His dynamic personality, playfulness and warmth helped foster an extended family through his involvement with the iconic event Dragstrip 66, bands including Daisyface, Super Fiends, SöuR, BC, Nova Cycle, GayC/DC and Lord Daddy, and as a beloved bartender at Akbar, Barracks and especially Eagle L.A. His death on August 15, 2023 left a community grieving.
While Clint was known for outrageous performances and looks, Dean Buckley knew him as a decades-long acquaintance, former boyfriend, long-term best friend and family member whose sexy, silly, sartorially-splendid outward character belied the generous, loving curmudgeon within. Dean has assembled twelve images from his personal collection to represent their long history together. It is an attempt to further process the loss, to explore the J. R. R. Tolkien question, "What punishments from God are not gifts?"
